The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) celebrates its 45 Years of Service Excellence. The Administration conducted the old tradition of holding the LWUA-WD Forum and awarding of Outstanding Water Districts at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) on September 17, 2018 with a theme “Access to Safe Water and Sanitation through Transparency, Accountability and Performance”
The Bulan Water District on its 43 Years of existence, continuing to serve the people of Bulan in the leadership of Engr. Rey Dennis L. Gilbas has been nominated as one of the Most Outstanding Water Districts of the Country for C.Y . 2017.
Efforts and hard work are the key to continue providing quality water supply, the BWD Management is putting an effort creating programs and projects that will be beneficial for the concessionaires of Bulan.
These are Major Projects of the BWD:
- Installation of Water Treatment Package Plant at Brgy. Lajong Deep Well
- Development of new Water Source for Water Supply Augmentation
- GAD ALAY-Metro para sa Solo-Parent (A Staggered Payment Arrangement for Water Service Connection)
- Balik-Takod Program (A Staggered Payment Arrangement for Re-Connection of Water Service)
This award is not just a piece of recognition but a challenge for the Bulan Water District, being the premier institution committed to develop programs that will provide a better living for the concessionaires of Bulan, Sorsogon in terms of Quality Water Service.
